Snow White is a 1933 animated short film in the Betty Boop series from Max Fleischer's Fleischer Studios. Dave Fleischer was credited as director, although virtually all the animation was done by Roland Crandall. Crandall received the opportunity to make Snow White on his own as a reward for his several years of devotion to the Fleischer studio, and the resulting film is considered both his masterwork and an important milestone of The Golden Age of American animation.
Snow White is a 1916 American silent film made by Famous Players-Lasky Corporation and produced by Adolph Zukor and Daniel Frohman. Directed by J. Searle Dawley, from the Grimm brothers story, Winthrop Ames adapted it to the screen from his play Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs that he had witten under the pseudonym "Jessie Graham White" and had produced in 1912 at his Little Theatre on Broadway. Runtime: 63 min.
Snow White, released in the U.S. as Snow White: The Fairest of Them All, was a television film, made in 2001, and based on the Snow White storyline. It was made by Hallmark and directed by Caroline Thompson. It deviates in several places from the original Brothers Grimm story and adds significant new characters and subplots. It also includes story elements from Hans Christian Anderson's The Snow Queen. While often hailed as a much darker version of the original Grimm fairy tale, it includes some playful, humorous elements, and is not necessarily more faithful to the original than other popular film adaptations.
Snow White is a 1987 film based on the classic fairytale and released as part of the "Cannon Movie Tales" series. Diana Rigg stars as the Wicked Queen.
