"She's Got Issues" was the fourth single from The Offspring's album Americana.
The song concerns the narrator's girlfriend (Played by Zooey Deschanel in the music video), a woman who is constantly complaining about her psychological problems. The narrator has swiftly become tired of them, and is convinced she could get over her issues if she actually tried.
This song fits into the album's theme of unpleasant realities of American life, in this case skewering the "victim complex" - the tendencies of Americans to blame all of their difficulties and problems on either other people or, as in this case, outside forces such as mental illness.
By popular urban myth, it is said that this song was based on the life of Whitney Houston.
Despite being released as a single, the song performed poorly in the charts and failed to make it onto The Offspring's Greatest Hits compilation. However, the video appeared on the Complete Music Video Collection DVD.
