Seventh Day Slumber is a Christian Rock band who got their start in 1996. They started their journey as an independent artist for five years, sharing the message of the gospel to all who would listen . Their song "Oceans from the Rain" was the 14th most played on song on Christian CHR radio in 2006 according to the Weekend 22.

Dallas-based alternative CCM band Seventh Day Slumber was led by frontman Joseph Rojas, a former cocaine addict who turned to Christ in the wake of a near-fatal overdose. Teaming with guitarist Evan Weatherford, bassist Joshua Schwartz and drummer Adam Witte, he formed Seventh Day Slumber in 1996, and upon signing to the Afinia label the group issued Matthew Twenty-Five three years later.
