"Save Me" (released May 22 2000) was the third single from Yorkshire band Embrace's second studio album, 'Drawn from Memory'. It only reached twenty-nine, but remains one of their most popular songs. One of the b-sides to CD1, Still So Young, was written by the band's drummer, Mike Heaton.
The second version of the single features dance remixes of the same song as b-sides. One of these remixes is attributed to "Reverend Bass"; this is an alias for band's own Richard McNamara. .
Save Me is a song by English rock band Queen. This rock ballad was written by guitarist Brian May, who played piano, as well as guitar on the track. It was recorded in 1979 and released in the U.K. on January 25th, 1980, nearly six months prior to the release of the album The Game. It spent six weeks on the UK charts, peaking at number eleven.
Brian May wrote "Save Me" about a friend whose relationship had ended, and played piano, synths and guitars (electric and twelve-string acoustic) on it.
"Save Me" is a 7" single by Baboon that was released in 1993 on Direct Hit Records.
The song "Save Me" also appears on the band's live album, 2001's A Bum Note and a Bead of Sweat. "California Dreaming" also appears on A Bum Note and a Bead of Sweat, as well as on the band's first album, 1994's Face Down in Turpentine.
The B-sides on the record are in reverse order from how they are listed on the cover.
"Save Me" is the second single from the Dave Matthews album, Some Devil. The first two tracks on the single are different from the album version of the song, which is 4:33 long. "Save Me" features Jeff Martin playing guitar with violin bow (not unlike Jimmy Page) by setting the height of the strings to mimic a violin. A semi-acoustic version with hurdy gurdy, electric guitar, Indian tambura, shekere and goblet drums was recorded in August 1995 at Studio Morin Heights (Morin Heights) for Alhambra, but appears as a B-side on the "Release" single and the European Triptych Special Tour Edition 2000 album.
