SR-71 is an American pop punk band that was formed in Baltimore, Maryland. They are best known for their 2000 single "Right Now", their 2002 single "Tomorrow", and are credited as the authors of Bowling for Soup's 2004 hit "1985". The name of the band came from SR-71 Blackbird, a retired supersonic surveillance aircraft of the United States Air Force. As for 2007, the band is currently on an indefinite hiatus after releasing their third studio album Here We Go Again in 2004. The band's next release is going to be released as lead singer and guitarist Mitch Allan's solo project.

Formed in Baltimore, Maryland, SR-71 has produced three major-label albums, two of which (Now You See Inside and Tomorrow) have been released in the States, and a third (Here We Go Again) released only in Japan.
