Roderick James "Jess" McMahon (b. May 26 1882, Queens, New York - d. November 22 1954, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania) was a professional wrestling and professional boxing promoter.

He is the patriarch of the McMahon wrestling family. He is most famous for co-promoting the World Boxing Association match between Jess Willard and then-champion Jack Johnson in a 45-round fight.

He started promoting wrestling shows in 1935. It was stated in the DVD "The Most Powerful Families In Wrestling" that he was disowned for promoting wrestling. His son Vincent James McMahon took over the family business, starting the World Wide Wrestling Federation upon Roderick "Jess" McMahon's death at age 72 in 1954.
