Robert Ray (Rod) Roddy (September 28, 1937 - October 27, 2003) was an American radio and television announcer. bios_rroddy.shtml" target="_blank">"Rod Roddy" CBS. Retrieved 15 May 2007. He is known primarily for his role as the announcer on both _CBS game shows, Press Your Luck, and most notably, The Price Is Right, a role he assumed after the death of that show's previous announcer, Johnny Olson, in 1985.

Was a DJ at Buffalo's 50,000 powerhouse WKBW 1520 AM from 1963 to 1968. According to current KB DJs, his sense of dress was at least equally as notable then as it was during his career on _"Price Is Right, The" (1972)_.

Had his left breast removed due to cancer in March 2003.
