"Ride" was a track co-written and produced by Rich Harrison for R&B artist Usher for his 2004 album, Confessions. The song features The Bad Seed. The track never made the cut on the album nor the re-release, so Harrison handed over the instrumental to Jennifer Lopez for her new album, Rebirth in 2005. The song was re-written still including some of the lyrics Usher originally wrote and was reproduced into the hit song Get Right, which made number one in the UK, among other countries. The song takes a blaring horn sample from James Brown's Soul Power 1974.
The song was leaked on the Internet in 2004 and can still be downloaded and heard today.
The Ride is a song written by Gary Gentry and J.B. Detterline Jr. It was performed by country singer-songwriter David Allan Coe, and released in 1983. It is written in ballad style and tells the story of an encounter with the ghost of Hank Williams, Sr..
