Rick Miller (born July 23, 1960 in Burns Lake, British Columbia) is a politician in the Canadian province of Alberta and former member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
He was elected on November 22, 2004 in the 26th Alberta general election in Edmonton Rutherford, defeating incumbent Progressive Conservative and former member of the Canadian House of Commons Ian McClelland. Miller served as opposition critic for two portfolios, the Treasury Board and Finance. He was also the chief opposition whip for the Alberta Liberal Party. He was defeated in the 2008 election by Progressive Conservative Fred Horne.
In May of 2005, Miller involved himself in the controversy surrounding the decision of then Conservative Belinda Stronach to cross the floor to the Liberals. After Tony Abbott, a fellow Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, made remarks comparing Stronach to a prostitute, Miller spoke out on the floor of the Legislative Assembly, condemning Abbott's remarks. After his speech, Abbott reportedly attempted to assault Miller in the corridor behind the Chamber. Due to a security guard's intervention, a major confrontation was prevented. This matter was resolved when Abbott apologized publicly for any perceived wrongs.
Richard Alan (Rick) Miller (born April 19, 1948 in Grand Rapids, Michigan) was an outfielder in Major League Baseball from 1971-1985. Miller attended Grand Rapids Union Highschool and was a star athlete in the Grand Rapids City League He spent 12 of his 15 seasons as a member of the Boston Red Sox, he also played with the California Angels. Miller was an accomplished fielder who won a gold glove in 1978 for his play in center field.
In 2007, Rick was named as the manager of the Nashua Pride of the Canadian-American Baseball League. Miller is replacing Butch Hobson, who managed the team from 2000-2007 and won two championships.

Richard Leonard (Rick) Miller (born 12 January 1961, Reseda, California) is a former American international motorcycle speedway rider. Rick won two national BMX titles as a Webco sponsored rider in his early teens. Rick then rode motocross in the southern California area before switching to Speedway. Rick started his speedway career in 81 became pro the next year and won rookie of the year. Speedway credits for 82 include Ventura track championship, and US Open National Champion in Owego, NY. He was a member of the USA speedway team when they won the 1990 World Team Cup. Rick retired from speedway at the end of the 92 season and started a new career as a stuntman. He rode in the UK for the Coventry Bees. Ten years for the Bee's, honored with a testimonial in 1992. Rick's Coventry Bee's won two league titles with the Bee's going undefeated in the 87 season, a feat never done before or since. Rick also Rode for the Ornarna Eagles in Mariestad Sweden and helped them in winning two national championships.
