Renegade Luke has been living an easy life so far, travelling through the southwest with his horse Joe, making money by running small-time scams. All this comes to an end when he encounters Moose, an imprisoned convict with a young son. Moose makes Luke an offer: move into his property and become the legal guardian of his son, and in return he won't get his friends to make legal trouble for Luke. Things don't go smoothly for the drifter and the boy at first, but gradually they come to settle into their new situation. Written by Jean-Marc Rocher
This 18th entry, of 19, in PRC's "Billy the Kid" series (first six starring Bob Steele and the last 13 with Buster Crabbe) finds town banker John Martin (Karl Hackett) calling on Billy (Buster Crabbe) and Fuzzy (Al St. John) for help in capturing the men that robbed his bank. Billy figures that sooner or later some of the money will be put in circulation and, through the serial numbers, the outlaws can be identified. The gang is led by town Mayor Dave Hill (Ray Bennett) who wants to wipe out the bank and the rancher's money source so that he can take over their lands that are on, unknown to them, rich oil deposits. Billy suspects the Mayor, but before he and Fuzzy break into the Mayor's office and find the stolen money, John Martin is framed and accused of robbing his own bank. Written by Les Adams
The Mayor is after the ranchers land for the oil he knows is there. He has put banker Martin in financial trouble and has him accused of stealing from his own bank. After Billy and Fuzzy save him from the lynch mob, they use the serial numbers from the stolen money to go after the leader of the gang. Written by Maurice VanAuken
