Ray J (born William Ray Norwood Jr. on January 17 1981) is an American actor, songwriter, record producer, singer and occasional rapper. He is the son of gospel singer Willie Norwood and the younger brother of R&B singer Brandy.

Ray J started out as an actor but later became a singer/rapper. After releasing two albums he went on hiatus for some years. In 2005, Ray J reentered the music scene with his hit single One Wish and the album Raydiation which was produced by his own record company. Ray J’s newest album is deeper and more true to him than any of his other albums.
