Ray is an Academy Award-winning 2004 biopic focusing on thirty years of the life of legendary rhythm and blues musician Ray Charles.

The independently-produced film was directed by Taylor Hackford and starred Jamie Foxx in the title role; Foxx received an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance.

Charles was to see an opening of the completed film, but he died before it came out, only adding to his legacy.

Told entirely through still photos and voice-over, a young woman explores a large empty house in the countryside. As she wanders through the house, she muses on various subjects, including nature, color, beauty, how we can know or trust the things that we see.
