Ralph Thomas (August 10, 1915 — March 17, 2001) was an English film director, born in Hull.
His brother, Gerald Thomas, was also a film director. His son, Jeremy Thomas, is a film producer.
Ralph Werner Thomas (born December 16, 1929 in Kenosha, Wisconsin) is a former American football end in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins and the Chicago Cardinals. He attended the University of San Francisco.
Educated at Middlesex College, Ralph started working in films as a clapper boy. He gave up on the movie industry in 1934 going to work as a journalist. During WWII he served with the 9th Lancers cavalry regiment. After the war he joined the Rank organisation and soon became one of their directors.
