The title of the song is most likely related to the false urban legend about Pop Rocks (if you ate them and drank Coke at the same time your stomach would explode). Others think that it has to do with direct references to drugs, the poprocks being a reference to a methamphetamines mixture, and coke being a direct reference to cocaine. The lyrics talking about how he would go and do anything for the object/person could mean he was addicted to the drug, or person, being a stalker perhaps. Another possibility is that the name has nothing to do with the content, and the song has to do with Billie Joe's wife and his love for her (Obtained from an iTunes review).
