Pinwheel is a children's television show that aired on the Nickelodeon cable network from 1979 to 1990. The show was the original program featured on the Nickelodeon network (the channel itself was known as "Pinwheel" until 1981).

This children's variety show from Nickelodeon's early days featured puppets interacting with live actors in "Sesame Street"-like situations, along with various animated shorts from overseas. At 5 hours in length, "Pinwheel" kept children occupied well into the afternoon. Written by Jason A. Cormier
