Peter Killian Gallagher (born August 19 1955) is a Golden Globe-winning American actor.
Peter Gallagher is a former Australian Rugby league player. He was born in Taree, New South Wales.
Gallagher played for the Eastern Suburbs club in the years 1960-1965. He played mainly at centre but was a versatile player who could play most positions in the backline. Gallagher was a member of the Easts side that lost to St George in the 1960 Grand Final. In the 1965 season, Gallagher captained the Eastern Suburbs team. The following year Gallagher moved to the Manly club, remaining there until 1968. In his time at Manly Gallagher played most of his football on the Wing.
1973-77: Attended Tufts University. He sang in a group called the Beelzebubs, which is a "mini rock choir" (a capella group) at Tufts.
Was a considered for the role of Ethan in Supergirl (1984).
Attended Byram Hills High School in Armonk, New York
Sandy Cohen, Gallagher's character on "O.C., The" (2003), was ranked #25 in TV Guide's list of the "50 Greatest TV Dads of All Time" [20 June 2004 issue].
Is an avid golfer.
2004: Attended the Best In Drag Show in Los Angeles which raised $150,000 for AIDS afflicted. The show's producer/director was Tom Perdoe.
Despite having the same last name, all being musically talented, and all having the trademark "Gallagher eyebrows," he is not related to Liam Gallagher or Noel Gallagher (II) from British rock-group Oasis (II).
