Parry Shen (born June 26, 1973 in Queens, New York) is a Chinese American actor, best known as the lead actor in the 2002 movie Better Luck Tomorrow. He was educated at Archbishop Molloy High School, a co-educational Roman Catholic school in Briarwood, in Queens, New York, and at the University at Buffalo. When he moved to California he worked as a dorm parent at Villanova Preparatory School, a private college preparatory school in Ojai, California.
Married his girlfriend Kim, a fourth grade teacher, on August 2, 2002.
Attended the State University of New York at Buffalo (UB) until 1995 and was an Orientation Aide for incoming freshman. He did an extremely comical rendition of Brandon Walsh (Jason Priestley) from "Beverly Hills, 90210" (1990) as part of the orientation program.
Replaced Russell Yuen's dialog (who played Hideki, Japanese Astronaut) in Day After Tomorrow, The (2004).
Second in line to play Harold in Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004). The part went to John Cho, Parry's former cast mate in Better Luck Tomorrow (2002).
His daughter, Avery Anne Shen, was born on March 28, 2005, five weeks earlier than expected.
