"One Word" is the first single from Kelly Osbourne's second album Sleeping in the Nothing. Unlike the pop/punk sound Kelly sported in the past, "One Word" was a synth-pop song that showed Kelly embracing dance music. The single sounded very reminiscent of the 1980s Visage song "Fade to Grey", which caused some controversy over copyright issues.
Curiously, Italian pop singer Tiziano Ferro, who in recent years has been accused of plagiarising a R Kelly song for one of his tracks, during summer 2006 released as a single a song called Stop! Dimentica, a song which is basically an unauthorized Italian version of the Visage track. It also has some lyrical resemblances with Osbourne's One Word, since both songs talk about "one word", about "breaking the silence", "lies that told great stories" and others.
"One Word" is the second official single from his self-titled album Elliott Yamin (following his first single "Wait for You" and the radio-only promotional hit "Movin' On")
