"No One Knows" is a 2002 song by the rock band Queens of the Stone Age. It is the first single released from third album Songs for the Deaf. The song was a #1 Modern Rock hit and also a big hit in Australia, becoming the #1 song on the Triple J Hottest 100 chart of 2002.
It has been covered by numerous groups, including The Zutons, The Divine Comedy and The Dresden Dolls.
The song is featured in the PlayStation 2 video game Guitar Hero and is also featured on the SSX 3, Test Drive Unlimited and NHL 2003 soundtracks, as well as in the film Confidence.
"No One Knows" was awarded the number one position on Australian national radio station Triple J's annual Hottest 100 competition, a listener ranked chart, in the year of 2002. In March 2005, Q magazine placed it at number 70 in its list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks. In September 2006, NME placed it at number 13 in its list of the 50 Greatest Tracks Of The Decade.
The song was first performed live on March 7, 2002.
Many fans of Queens of the Stone Age and Desert Sessions would notice that the main riff of "No One Knows" can be found in Desert Sessions' song "Cold Sore Superstars".
