Nine's Wide World of Sports is a long-running sports anthology brand on Australian television, which is aired on the Nine Network. All major sports, events and series are brodcasted and produced under the brand, with the flagship sports being, Rugby League National Rugby League, Cricket (Australian Summer of Cricket), spring and autumn Horse Racing, US Open tennis, Wimbledon tennis, Swimming, and British Open golf. However, formerly Australian Rules Football was also aired until the Nine lost the rights in 2006. It was speculated that the Wide World of Sports brand will be phased out in 2007, to be replaced by the FOX Sports brand, however the WWOS brand has been continued both in 2007 and 2008.
