Nicole Lea Haislett (born December 16, 1972 in St. Petersburg, Florida) is a former freestyle swimmer from the United States, who won three golden medals at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. She won the 200m Freestyle and was a member of the winning Team USA in the 4x100m Freestyle, alongside Jenny Thompson, Dara Torres, and Angel Martino.
At the 1991 World Aquatics Championships in Perth, Western Australia, Haislett took first in the 100m free and 400m free and medley relays. She ended the 18-year East German reign in the 100m free at the World Championships. She won four 200 yards free titles at NCAAs. She was the first American under 1:58 in the 200m free and held the American record until 2003 when it was broken by Lindsay Benko.
Haislett was the first American to defeat a person from East Germany in the one hundred meter freestyle since the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich; she did so at the Goodwill Games in 1990, held in Seattle.
