My Blue Heaven is a 1990 film starring Steve Martin, Rick Moranis, and Joan Cusack.

It has been noted for its relationship to the movie Goodfellas. Both movies are based upon the life of Henry Hill, although the character is renamed to "Vincent 'Vinnie' Antonelli" in My Blue Heaven.

In some ways My Blue Heaven is a preemptive sequel to Goodfellas, as Goodfellas ends with Hill's dissatisfaction with life in the Witness Protection Program, while My Blue Heaven starts out Hill's life after the move. Goodfellas stays much closer to the facts of Hill's life, but a lot of Hill's experiences are reflected in the latter film (in an addition, My Blue Heaven flashes title cards on the screen listing the chapter headings in Hill's books).

While Goodfellas was based upon the book Wiseguys by Nicholas Pileggi, the screenplay for My Blue Heaven was written by Pileggi's wife, Nora Ephron, and much of the research for both works was done in the same sessions with Hill.

The movie was filmed primarily in the California city of San Luis Obispo and the surrounding area, though the nominal setting is a fictional suburb of San Diego, California. Some scenes were actually shot in San Diego.

Hans falls in love with Brenda, an Indonesian girl. Hans' father sells an old building to Brenda's father, so that he can open an Indonesian restaurant there. Hans' father is the owner of a snackbar himself. The restaurant becomes very succesful, but some racists can't handle that, so they set the snackbar on fire... Written by T Master

For a change, the couple turn their act into a series on early TV and try to adopt a baby, finally acquiring a girl in a somewhat back alley manner. In the witness protection program one is supposed to keep a low profile, but that is something that Antonelli has trouble doing. He must start life over in a quiet town with nothing to keep himself entertained - until he runs across some old friends from the Big Apple and they start up a little business of their own. Vinnie's bad behavior wreaks havoc on the life of Barney Coopersmith (Rick Moranis), the straitlaced FBI agent assigned to protect him. Barney must struggle with Hannah, the local assistant D.A. (Joan Cusack), to keep Vinnie out of prison and safe from the mob before his testimony. Before long, Vinnie is sweet-talking Hannah into dates with Barney and teaching Barney how to dance, dress, and become a lady killer as they run from Mafia hit men and nearly escape murder in Manhattan.
