Mr. Big was an American hard rock band. They were formed in 1988 and are best known for their 1992 acoustic hit, "To Be with You".

Mr. Big, or more simply Big( born:John James Preston), (born August 30, 1958) are pseudonyms for a fictional character in the HBO series, Sex and the City, portrayed by Chris Noth. The character's name is not revealed in the series until the last episode, when his first name is revealed to be John. His last name is never disclosed in the series. The newest trailer for the Sex and the City Movie shows his full name to be John James Preston.
