Moonlighting is an American television series that first aired on ABC from 1985 to 1989 with a total of 66 episodes. The show starred Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd as private detectives and was a mixture of drama, comedy and romance that is considered a classic spoof of television detective shows.

The show's theme song was performed by popular jazz singer Al Jarreau and became a minor hit. The show is also credited with making Willis a major star while reviving Shepherd's acting career.

Moonlighting is a film written and directed by Jerzy Skolimowski in 1982. It is set in the early 1980s at the time of the Solidarity protests in Poland.

It stars Jeremy Irons as "Nowak", a Polish builder leading a team working illegally in London.

A Polish contractor, Nowak, leads a group of workmen to London so they can provide cheap labor for a government official based there. Nowak (Irons) has to manage the project and the men as they encounter the tempations of the West and loneliness and separation from their families. Nowak is the only one of the group who speaks English, and he uses this as a tool over his team. The top model Maddie Hayes was betrayed by her investment adviser who flew with all her money to South-America and began the hard life of a Casino owner. Maybe this is why they always seem to us as the perfect couple. Will they become lovers or not?
