Michael Shuman (or Mikey Shoes, as he is called in some circles) is an American rock musician, best known as the current bassist for the hard rock band Queens of the Stone Age. He graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA and attended Campbell Hall High School in North Hollywood, CA. Shuman also plays bass for Wires On Fire and Jubilee, both on Buddyhead Records.

Josh Homme is quoted as saying that he told Shuman "playing in Queens [of the Stone Age] is about 'performance' and 'blood'." When Shuman replied "which do you want first?", Homme knew he was the man for the job.
