Michael Muhney (b. June 12, 1975) is an American actor, most famous for his role as Sheriff Don Lamb on the UPN/The CW drama Veronica Mars.
He attended DePaul University's The Theatre School (formerly The Goodman School of Drama) in Chicago, Illinois where he received a BFA in Acting (class of 1997). Other acting colleagues from the school include John Cabrera, Judy Greer, and Sean Gunn.
He is a member of Mensa.
Muhney had a recurring role as Mark Farrell on the USA Network television series The Huntress with Annette O'Toole. He has also appeared on ER, Charmed, JAG, and Numb3rs.
Michael won the state championship for his One-Act play performance at age 16 while attending Trinity High School.
Speaks three languages. German, ASL (American Sign Language), and English.
Michael is a card-carrying member of MENSA.
Was up for the role of J.D. on Scrubs but was told he wasn't quirky enough. The part eventually went Zach Braff.
