Michael Andrew Johnson (born 31 January 1970) is an Australian politician. He has been a Liberal member of the Australian House of Representatives since November 2001, representing the Division of Ryan, Queensland. He was born in Hong Kong, and was educated at the University of Queensland, Cambridge University, where he obtained an MPhil, and Birmingham University, where he obtained a master's degree in international studies. He was the Australian Chevening Scholar in 1994 and the Charles Hawker Memorial Scholar in 1996.
Michael Johnson was a barrister and a university tutor and lecturer before entering politics. He is the first person of Chinese descent to be a member of the House of Representatives.

Michael Duane Johnson (born September 13, 1967) is a retired American sprinter who holds world records in the 200 meters, 400 meters and 4 x 400 m relay. He also has run the fastest 300 meters of all time, an event not recognized by the IAAF. He won five Olympic gold medals and was crowned world champion nine times. He is the only male sprint athlete in history to win both the 200 meters and 400 meters events at the same Olympics, accomplishing the feat at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, and the only man to successfully defend his title in the 400 meters at a Summer Olympics competition.

Johnson signed for Manchester City in 2004. Prior to signing for Manchester City, Johnson was a schoolboy at Everton. , and supported Leeds United as a youth.
