Meredith Ann Patterson was born and raised in Pleasant Hill, California. She is the youngest of four children. Her mother owns a daycare center, and her father works with computers. She has been dancing since the age of 2, singing since the age of 8, and acting professionally since the age of 13. Meredith moved to New York City straight out of high school at the age of 18 to pursue her dream of starring on Broadway. Her first big job came in 1997 with Susan Stroman choreographing her in Madison Square Garden's 'A Christmas Carol'. She made her Broadway debut in Julie Taymor's 'The Green Bird' (2000) and her Broadway musical debut in '42nd St' (2001) where she took over the starring role of 'Peggy Sawyer' after being in the chorus only 3 months. In the summer of 2003, Meredith was chosen to star in the musical 'The Boy Friend' directed by the legendary Julie Andrews. Meredith played the role of 'Polly Browne', the same role that brought Ms. Andrews to Broadway in 1954. Meredith writes original music and produced her debut album entitled 'MerieNYC', available exclusively on her official website www.meredithpatterson.com. She recently originated the role of "Judy Haynes in the musical stage version of "White Christmas", playing The Pantages Theater in Los Angeles (Winter 2005)
