Meredith Henderson (born November 24, 1983) is a Canadian actress known for playing the title role in The Adventures of Shirley Holmes. She also had a leading role as wheelchair-using Cleo Bellows in the 2001 children's television series MythQuest opposite Christopher Jacot.
In 2005, she appeared in Shania: A Life in Eight Albums, a biopic of country star Shania Twain, in which she played the lead role. She did all the singing, dancing and guitar playing herself. Henderson also had a recurring role as the girlfriend of Harris Allan's character Hunter on the critically acclaimed, groundbreaking gay TV series Queer as Folk.
She now lives in Toronto with her boyfriend, agent and business partner James Henderson.
Meredith lived in Quebec until she was 12. Her father is a member of the band Tangleroot, and her mother is the group's manager. She started taking acting classes when she was 5 years old, and was offered her first role as Aurora in the Hallmark production Song Spinner, The (1995) (TV). Later, she appeared as a guest star in the TV series Goosebumps, playing Cara in the episode Vampire Breath. Her big opportunity came when, at 12 years old, she was cast as Shirley Holmes in the TV series "Adventures of Shirley Holmes, The" (1996), which ran for four seasons. More recently she has been offered the lead role in a new TV series called _"Mythquest" (2001)_. She is currently living in Vancouver.
