Meltdown: Days of Destruction is a 2006 TV film. It primarily concerns social breakdown, combat, and personal relationships during a heat wave of 110-140 degrees Fahrenheit.
A story making the rounds says that this film was originally written by John Carpenter (I) in the late '70s, and the script lay in limbo until the early '90s, when it was set to star Dolph Lundgren. Eight days before filming, legal issues between distribution companies supposedly caused it to shut down. However, according to writer/director Rick Drew, he developed the story from scratch and had never heard of the alleged Carpenter script when he wrote it, and in fact received sole credit from the WGA for the script.
Terrorists didn't have to build a nuclear weapon... we built it for them.
The threat is real...
