Mark Mitchell is an Australian comedic actor. His most famous character is Con the Fruiterer who he played on The Comedy Company. He also plays Con's wife, Marika. Both characters have outlived the original show and continue to make appearances on and off television. Mark also starred in sketch shows The Eleventh Hour and Larger Than Life.
He has also starred in some children's programs, including Round the Twist, Lift Off and The Genie From Down Under, and played the voice of Buck Cluck in the Walt Disney film Chicken Little, though his voice work was only featured in the cut shown in Australian cinemas.
Mitchell's character, 'Con the Fruiterer' was appointed Moomba Monarch (popularly called King of Moomba) in 1989.
Mitchell is now also the voice of Commercial Radio's advertising campaigns, playing a dim-witted fool who interviews various people about radio advertising with amusing consequences resulting from his characters lack of understanding the interviewees.
Mark Mitchell (born May 2, 1968) is a former American figure skater. He made the podium at United States Figure Skating Championships three times and placed as high as fourth at the World Figure Skating Championships (in 1993). He currently works as a coach with Peter Johansson at the Skating Club of Boston. Their students include 2003 U.S. pewter medalist Scott Smith, 2007 World Junior Champion Stephen Carriere, 2008 Eastern Sectionals Champion Katrina Hacker, 2007 US National Junior Pewter Medalist Curran Oi, 2007 Eastern Sectional Champion Kylie Gleason, Two Time Junior Grand Prix Gold Medalist Juliana Cannarozzo, and 2007 US National Silver Medalist Emily Hughes. Mitchell and Johansson were the 2003, 2006, and 2007 USFSA/PSA Developmental Coaches of the Year and the 2006 USOC Developmental Coaches of the Year.
Mark Mitchell is a Canadian ice dancer. With partner Michelle McDonald, he won two silver medals at the Canadian Figure Skating Championships. They placed 11th at the 1989 World Figure Skating Championships and moved up to 9th in the 1990. Their partnership dissolved the next year.
Mark Mitchell is a musician known mostly as a guitarist, however he has in the past done vocals as well.
