Mark DeCarlo (born June 23, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American actor and talk show host. DeCarlo first got on television on the American version of the game show Sale of the Century in 1985 while a student at UCLA, where he won $115,257 in cash and prizes.
DeCarlo's most notable role was the host of the early 1990s dating show Studs, known for its raunchy content.
Mark was one of the hosts of The X Show, also hosting "Big Deal", loosely-based on Let's Make a Deal as well as the Candid Camera-styled "Totally Hidden Video". He currently provides the voice of Jimmy Neutron's befuddled father Hugh on the Nickelodeon animated series The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius as well as host of the Travel Channel's eponymously titled Taste of America show.
He appeared in the 1995 Seinfeld episode "The Face Painter" as a lawyer by the name of Alec Berg, who gives Jerry tickets to a New York Rangers playoff game.
Was on Sale Of The Century in 1985, won the lot for $115,257 in the Winners Board format. In his first episode, he stole the championship in a tie-breaking question after the speed round. Then on his final episode, where he trailed the entire game until the end of the speedround where he tied one of his opponents, his opponent answered the tiebreaker wrong, giving him the win and the lot.
He has two brothers.
In 1992, was "purchased" for charity as part of a Big Bear ski package at a Big Brothers charity auction by Vicki Roberts (II).
