Marieta Severo da Costa (born on November 2, 1946) is a Brazilian theater, film and television actress.
Mother of actress Sílvia Buarque.
Dubbed Izma in the Brazilian version of 'The Emperor's New Groove' (2000)
Marieta and Chico Buarque are parents of 3 girls: Sílvia Buarque (born 28 March 1969), 'Helena' (born 22 December 1970) and Luísa Buarque de Hollanda (born 17 September 1975).
She has 5 grandchildren: Irene (Sílvia's daughter), Francisco Buarque de Freitas, Clara Buarque de Freitas and Cecília Buarque de Freitas(Helena's children) and Lia (Luísa's daughter).
Marieta's father was an army officer.
She started her career in the theater in 1965.
She won two Kikitos Awards.
