Lynne Adams (born October 8, 1946) is an American actress.
Adams is best known to daytime television viewers from her role on the long running drama The Guiding Light where she played the role of Leslie Jackson Bauer Norris from 1963 to 1971 and from 1973 to 1976. Adams was the second generation in her family to act on the program; both her parents had roles in the radio incarnation in the 1940s.
Adams also appeared on the soap opera The Secret Storm in the role of Amy Kincaid from 1971-1972.
Adams has written and produced a number of stage productions, including the one-woman plays Nora Astorga: Americans Encounter with a Nicaraguan Heroin and Two Faced, which the feature film Made-Up was based on. Adams wrote and produced Made-Up and co-starred with Tony Shalhoub, Brooke Adams, Eva Amurri, Gary Sinise and Lance Krall. Adams now runs Movie Meeting House, an online organization which aims to bring movie discussion clubs to movie aficionados.
Her younger sister is the actress Brooke Adams, who is married to the actor Tony Shalhoub.
These days, she hosts as the voice of How It's Made in the recent shows for The Discovery Channel.
Ms. Adams (SAG, AFTRA, Equity) has written and produced numerous productions for the stage. She is the sister of Brooke Adams (I). She wrote and performed in a one woman play, "Two Faced" from 1991 to 1997. Won the LA Weekly Award for best solo performance; The Los Angeles DramaLogue Award for her performance. She previously wrote "Over Mother's Dead Body" and played the part of Sara, opposite her real life sister, Brooke Adams.
