"Lovesong" (sometimes listed as "Love Song") is a modern ballad written by Robert Smith and originally released by The Cure on their Disintegration album. Robert Smith originally wrote this song as a gift to his longtime girlfriend, Mary, shortly before their marriage.
"Lovesong" is a pop song written by Amiel Daemion. The song was first recorded by Amiel as the first song released from her debut album Audio Out. It was released as CD single in Australia on March 10, 2003 and in Germany middle 2004.
The song made its debut into the ARIA Charts top twenty at number thirteen. It fell down to number seventeen the next week but then made its way up to number twelve. Two weeks later the song jumped four spots to number nine and was accredited Gold by ARIA. The next week it fell out of the top ten to number eleven but in the next week it jumped back in at number nine and then three places to the songs peak position of six. After from falling from six to eleven the song spent its last two weeks in the top ten at number nine and ten. It then went to stay for two more weeks in the top twenty, then three weeks in the top thirty and accrediting Platinum on its fifteenth week. The song dropped out of the top fifty at number forty after spending seventeen weeks in it.
