Lester Holt (born March 8, 1959 in Marin County, California) is a news broadcaster in the United States, beginning as a local Chicago news anchor and presently is the host of NBC's "Weekend Today" seen on Saturday and Sunday mornings on most NBC stations and affiliates, and is the weekend anchor of "NBC Nightly News." He also serves as a substitute anchor for both weekday editions of Today" and "NBC Nightly News."
