Leslie Parrish (b. March 13 1935, Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania) is an American actress. She starred under her birth name, Marjorie Helen Parrish, until she changed it in 1959.
She first started as a model, and, later (1955), became an actress. Until 1959, she acted under her true name of Marjorie Helen. It was in 1959, that she changed it to Leslie Parrish. Appearing in more than a 100 TV shows, she is also known as one of the first women producers in filming. But her true passion from the beginning was music. Younger, she was involved in social causes such as the Vietnam war (was against it). At age 30, she met the airplane pilot/writer Richard D. Bach during the making of the movie Jonathan Livingston Seagull (1973), based on Bach's book. A deeper relationship has taken over their friendship and they finally got married in 1977. They divorced in 1997.
