The Twelve Tasks of Asterix (Les Douze travaux d'Astérix) is an animated feature film based on the Asterix comic book series. The screenplay was written by Pierre Tchernia, a friend of René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo, and produced at the Idefix Studios. Unlike the other Asterix animated movies, it was not based on a published comic book, although later it was made into a book.
When Julius Cesar fears, that he will probably never be able to defeat the gaulic village of Asterix and his friends, he has the idea of offering the Gauls a deal: if they are able to solve twelve tasks that he selected, he will hand over the Roman empire to them.
