Legacy was an American dramatic television series which aired on UPN from 1998-1999.

Legacy, one of the few Western series to grace American television screens in recent years, was set on a Kentucky horse farm soon after the American Civil War. The Logan family, headed up by patriarch Ned (Brett Cullen), dealt with a series of domestic and romantic crises, such as the arrival of 17-year old orphan Jeremy, and Sean Logan's interracial affair with the daughter of a former slave. Although Legacy had lush location footage and an appealing cast, the ratings were not impressive, and after one season the show became one of many series thrown on the scrap heap by UPN.

A number of cast members such as Grayson McCouch and Sharon Leal went on to find success in other daytime and primetime series.

The theme song for the series was from "Mummer's Dance" by Loreena McKennitt.

Part of the shows failure was due to its unfortunate sharing of the evening time slot against the ever popular Dawson's Creek (WB). both of which aired in '98. one can't help but wonder if circumstances were different might this show have been a success?

Legacy is the title of a film starring Madeline Zima, due in theaters in 2008. It was filmed in Los Angeles and concerns a sorority house where one of the rushees is found dead and the primary suspects are three of the most popular girls of the house.

Legacy: A Mormon Journey is a 53-minute film produced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Legacy depicts the life of two recent converts from the 1830s to the 1890s. This movie was produced for the purpose of being shown in the newly constructed theatre, the Legacy Theatre, in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was replaced in March 2000 by The Testaments of One Fold and One Shepherd. Legacy is currently available on VHS and DVD from Deseret Book and the LDS Church Distribution Center.
