Laurence Mason is a Trinidadian- American actor of stage, film and television.
A first-generation American whose parents were originally from Trinidad, Mason graduated from New York's High School for Performing Arts. His film credits include Hackers, Parallel Sons, Joey Breaker, True Romance, New York Cop and Ali. He appeared in The Crow as one of the four thugs who murdered (and were killed in return by) the central character Eric Draven, played by Brandon Lee.
Mason may be best-known for his 2005 portrayal of Halpern White on the FX (TV network) original series The Shield. Mason has a recurring role on Prison Break as a prisoner named Sammy.
Former student of SUNY Purchase. Laurence was in the same class as Parker Posey (Party Girl), Adam Trese (Laws of Gravity), Roy Wilson (The Cosby Show) and producer Todd Baker. Other famous alum of the school include Wesley Snipes, Melis sa Leo (Homicide - NBC), Sherry Stringfield (ER - NBC), Seth Gilliam (Courage Under Fire), directors Hal Hartley and Nick Gomez, and producer Bob Gosse.
