Laurence Fox (born 1978) is an English actor.
Fox is possibly best known for his current starring role as DS James Hathaway in the British TV drama Lewis.
He has appeared in several films, stage and television productions. Fox is the third son of the actor James Fox. His uncles are the actors Edward Fox, Daniel Chatto and the producer Robert Fox. His cousin is the actress Emilia Fox and his great-grandfather was the dramatist Frederick Lonsdale. He has three brothers and one sister, Tom, Robin, Jack and Lydia. Fox was educated at Harrow School. He trained at RADA where he was a contemporary of Rhys Meredith.
Fox married British actress Billie Piper on 31 December 2007. They met while performing together in the stage play Treats. He and Piper live in their new home in a village in West Sussex. .
