Lady in the Water is a 2006 thriller/fantasy film written, produced, and directed by M. Night Shyamalan and also produced by Sam Mercer and Jose L. Rodriguez. It was released in the United States on July 21, 2006, distributed by Warner Bros., and rated PG-13 by the MPAA for some frightening sequences. It was listed by Variety as one of the ten "biggest (financial) losers" of 2006.

The super Cleveland Heep finds a woman swimming in the swimming pool of the condominium during the night; he slips, hits his head on the floor and faints in the water, and she rescues him. He discloses that she is a "Narf" called Story, a character of bedtime stories, that is chased by a "Scrunt" and she needs to return to her Blue World with an eagle.
