La'Roi Damon Glover ( ) (born July 4, 1974), is an American football defensive tackle in the NFL who plays for the St. Louis Rams.
Glover was born in San Diego, California. He played college football at San Diego State, and was drafted by the Oakland Raiders with the 34th pick in the 5th round of the 1996 NFL Draft.
Glover played a backup role that year for the Raiders, before being released and signed in 1997 by the New Orleans Saints, for whom he played as a starter until 2002, when he signed with the Cowboys. He is considered one of the best players at his position in the league, and has been elected to the Pro Bowl six times.
In 1999, Glover established The La’Roi Glover Foundation, which provides scholarships to students in San Diego, supports needy families, and otherwise aids organisations that assist children. The Foundation annually provides two scholarships to graduates of Point Loma High School, which Glover attended.
In March 2006, the six-time NFL Pro-Bowler was cut by the Dallas Cowboys. On March 7, Glover signed a three year contract with the St. Louis Rams. The loss of Ryan Pickett and Damione Lewis has guaranteed Glover a start in the defense, whether it is a 3-4 or 4-3.
