Kula Shaker are an English multi-platinum selling psychedelic rock band who came to prominence during the Britpop era. After releasing two albums they split in September 1999 but officially reformed in 2004 for sessions which led to plans for a full live and album-release comeback. Their reformation was not widely publicised until the beginning of 2006. Their third album, Strangefolk, was released in 2007.

Kula Shaker were composed of Crispian Mills (Guitar/Lead Vocals), Alonza Bevan (Bass/Backing Vocals), Paul Winterhart (Drums) and Jay Darlington (Hammond Organ, Backing Vocals) between 1994 and 1999. When they regrouped in 2006, Jay Darlington was substituted with Henry ‘Harry’ Broadbent. Their sound is roughly based around the sounds of Brit-Pop and psychedelic rock with heavy influences of Indian music throughout.
