Kristen Carroll Wiig (born August 22, 1973) is an American actress, comedian, and impressionist, whose most visible work is as a cast member of Saturday Night Live (SNL). She is a member of The Groundlings, x.htm?POE=LIFISVA" target="_blank">They're live on SNL, a December 2005 _USA Today article and also appeared in the first season of Spike TV's The Joe Schmo Show.
Originally from Rochester, New York, she joined the cast of "Saturday Night Live" (1975) in the middle of its 2005-2006 season. She is a member of the renowned sketch comedy theater called the Groundlings Main Company in Los Angeles, where she was promoted up from the Groundlings Sunday Company after just one year. She has also been in the cast of two comedy pilots for CBS.
