Kellie Shanygne Williams (born March 22, 1976 in Washington, D.C., USA) is an American actress best known for her role as Laura Winslow on the television series Family Matters. Kellie appeared on the series for its entire run, from its initial air date in late 1989 to the summer of 1998. After the show, Kellie began acting in the ABC television show What About Joan. She also starred in the urban teen films Ride (1999) and In the Mix (2005). She had a recurring role on Moesha from 1996 to 1999 as Moesha's cousin Sharisse. She also has appeared on Girlfriends, The Parkers, and Eve.
In November 2006, Williams moved back to Washington, D.C. and started a new fine arts program for youth at Howard University's Children's Theater. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and has made appearances on local television advertisements in the D.C. area. Her next project is Steppin: The Movie, which reunites her with Family Matters costars Reginald VelJohnson and Darius McCrary.
