Just for Kicks was an American comedy-drama series on the Nickelodeon network about a group of girls in a soccer team. This show was first called Head to Toe, then The Power Strikers, but was changed in 2005. Just for Kicks premiered in January 2006 on Nickelodeon UK and April 2006 on Nickelodeon in the US. The complete series (13 episodes) was produced by Brookwell McNamara Entertainment
Just for Kicks is a 2003 film starring Dylan Sprouse and Cole Sprouse as Dylan and Cole Martin. It's about two twins who absolutely love soccer. But their team isn't very good. With hard work and perseverance, their team just might win the championship game with the help of their new friend who fixes cars for a living, Rudy.
Just for Kicks is a 2005 documentary film about the sneaker phenomena and history. It includes self confessed "sneaker heads" like Grandmaster Caz, Reverend Run, and Missy Elliott. It tells the story of the legendary Nike Air Force One's, or as they are called in New York "Uptowns." The documentary also tells the story of how hip-hop pioneers DJ Run, Jam Master Jay, and DMC had everyone wearing Adidas Superstars with their smash hit "My Adidas."
Since B-Boys first propelled them out of the New York City playgrounds in the 70's, sneakers have morphed from a tool for athletic performance to Hip Hop's cornerstone symbol of cool and an object of obsession for sneakers collectors world wide. Analyzing this global pop culture phenomenon, JUST FOR KICKS is the first film of its kind to present the underlying culture and personalities that fueled this fashion revolution and its $26 billion global market. Far from a formal history of the sneaker industry, JUST FOR KICKS offers a fun and colorful insider's history of hip hop's most treasured fashion item; revealing behind the scenes stories with exclusive testimonies, never before seen footage and the charismatic personalities that have come to influence pop culture.
