Judy Landers (born October 7, 1959) id=40259" target="_blank">"Judy Landers Filmography" from the _All Movie Guide, and the New York Times is an American actress.
She was born the daughter of Ruth Landers in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is the younger sister of fellow actress Audrey Landers. She was raised in Rockland County, New York. At an early age she developed an interest in gymnastics, and maintained a trim figure throughout her acting career. She studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, then attended the Warren Robertson Dramatic Training School before training at the Juilliard School of Music.
Judy has appeared in several films, including Stewardess School (1986), Armed and Dangerous (1986), Ghost Writer (1989), Club Fed (1990), and Dr. Alien (1989). She has also appeared in several television series, including The Love Boat (1977) and Night Court (1984) and also on Vega$ (1978) and B.J. and the Bear (1979) and Madame's Place in 1982-83.
She has frequently been called upon to play the role of innocent or dim-witted blondes. Judy has often worked with her sister and mother in the business, including collaborating with Audrey on the children's show The Huggabug Club (1996). The sisters were on the cover of the January, 1983 issue of Playboy.
In November, 1987, she was married to Tom Niedenfuer, who was a relief pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team. They have two daughters: Lindsay, born 1989, and Kristy, born 1991. The couple now resides in Florida.
Judy Landers' pleasing personality and physical attributes have made this former Julliard music student one of the popular character actresses in both action shows like "B.J. and the Bear" (1979) and "Vega$" (1978), as well as in a multitude of situation comedies during the 1980s. Although a student of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Judy has tried her hand at dramas, but because of her ability to play naive, innocent or sometimes even dim-witted characters, the blonde bombshell seems to have excelled more in comedies. She has appeared in shows such as "Night Court" (1984) and "Love Boat, The" (1977), and in movies such as Stewardess School (1986) and Dr. Alien (1989). She is married to baseball player Tom Niedenfuer and they have two daughters, Lindsey and Kristy. Judy and her older sister Audrey Landers have appeared together in many projects, but one of the projects nearest and dearest to them seems to have been "Huggabug Club, The" (1995), a children's show which they produced for Public Broadcasting. The duo not only starred in the show, they (along with their mother Ruth Landers) produced the show, and contributed most of the music to it, as well.
