Josh (Devanagari: जोश, Nastaliq: جوش, translation: "Frenzy") is a 2000 Bollywood movie directed by Mansoor Khan and starring Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai in their first film together, Chandrachur Singh, Sharad Kapoor, Boman Irani in his film debut and veteran actress Nadira in her last film before her death in 2006. The film is an Indian version of West Side Story. Josh was filmed in Goa, and details the love stories and the battles between the Christian gang and the Hindu gang.
This movie is inspired by the ageless Hollywood musical, West Side Story. Shah Rukh and Aishwarya are playing brother and sister. The movie is about gang rivalry and love. Chandrachur and Shah Rukh happen to be in opposite gangs and Aishwarya is in love with Chandrachur. Written by Shiva Kumar
