Joshua Ryan Hutcherson (born October 12, 1992) is an American film and television actor. He began performing in the early 2000s, appearing in several minor film and television roles, before gaining wider exposure with major roles in the 2005 films Little Manhattan and Zathura, the 2006 comedy RV, the film adaptation of Bridge to Terabithia, as Jesse Aarons, and Firehouse Dog, as Shane Fahey.
Older brother of the actor Connor Hutcherson.
During filming of Polar Express, The (2004) with Tom Hanks, he played himself in a four week run of the live sketch comedy show "Jack Shack" which was written and directed by Craig Anstett and Ben Hoffman.
Is good friends with actress AnnaSophia Robb.
